Leamington Spa, UK: Yotta DCL, the UK’s largest surveying company is pleased to announce the launch of its new data capture software, NotaVia. Designed with the data collector in mind, NotaVia is faster and more reliable than any other handheld surveying software on the market.
Intelligent and intuitive, NotaVia builds on the success of DGEN, Yotta’s widely used data capture tool. It features an easy-to-use interface that includes a built-in relationship between inventory, surface material and associated defects. NotaVia also holds key survey details freeing the surveyor from tedious data entry whilst also enabling cross-referencing of surveyed sections against network information.
The built-in mapping feature ensures that the right section is surveyed in the required direction with visual indicators to help keep track of what’s been completed. Once the survey is complete, all the data can be transmitted over a mobile network on to a server or to a specified email address. The output data can then be presented schematically for validation or be directly converted to UKPMS compatible HMDIF Format.
“NotaVia is an exciting new software development for Yotta. The beauty of it is once your survey is completed you can upload the data from your handheld device direct to your server, at the push of a button,” commented Nick Smee, Managing Director at Yotta DCL. “It improves the efficiency of the survey from beginning to end, because the data is only entered once.”
Other key features of NotaVia include:
- Intuitive visual feedback
- Inbuilt edit functionality
- Timestamp for survey records
- Custom output-formats (on post-processing)
- Diagrammatic visualization of surveyed section
- Designed for Mobile devices
- Ability to connect to external devices
